An experiment was conducted to add a gang notoriety system to Grand Theft Auto 5 using mods, aiming to make NPCs more aggressive towards the player. While the system initially made gang members hostile, they soon began attacking each other instead of the player, leading to unexpected and chaotic outcomes.
