A leaked internal Nvidia tool, MODS (Modular Diagnostic Software), has reportedly re-enabled blocked GPU hotspot sensor data for Nvidia's RTX 50-series graphics cards. This tool allows users to diagnose thermal issues, such as misaligned coolers or improper thermal paste application, which can lead to performance degradation and high fan noise. One example showed a Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti with a significant difference between its average temperature and hotspot temperature.
