Pokémon Winds & Waves Will Be Released "Exclusively" For Switch 2

Game Freak has confirmed that the upcoming mainline Pokémon entry, Pokémon Winds & Waves, will be "exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2." This marks a shift away from the original Nintendo Switch hardware, with titles like Pokémon Legends: Z-A also being developed for the new generation. The game is scheduled for a 2027 release and will feature an open world with new islands and oceans.
