Director Cypri Paju Dale addressed the controversy surrounding the documentary "Pesta Babi: Kolonialisme di Zaman Kita," suggesting that the use of the term 'colonialism' in the title and analysis may be the reason for attempts to ban screenings. The film aims to depict the current situation of indigenous communities in Papua. Coordinating Minister for Legal, Human Rights, and Immigration Yusril Ihza Mahendra stated the government does not prohibit screenings or discussions, viewing the film's content as reasonable and encouraging open debate.
