Sandfall Interactive, the studio behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, is seeking a resolution with comic artist Olivier Gay over the use of the term 'Clair Obscur'. Gay alleges Sandfall's lawyers contacted him to stop selling his comic, L'Académie Clair-Obscur, which shares the name of a 15th-century painting technique. Sandfall Interactive has stated they are working with Gay and his publisher to find a fair solution.
