Amazon Prime Video is developing a six-part limited series based on Stephen King's 1980 short story 'Crouch End,' marking the first King adaptation to be filmed in the UK. The story follows an American woman in London who claims a supernatural phenomenon caused her husband's disappearance. Showrunner Silka Luisa confirmed that Amazon's Prime Video series Blade Runner 2099 is planned as an eight-episode limited series, designed to tell a complete story akin to a movie. The show is set 50 years after Blade Runner 2049, depicting a future where replicants hold power and humans are second-class citizens, with Hunter Schafer and Michelle Yeoh in lead roles. Ridley Scott was involved in shepherding the project.
