Capcom revealed Proto Man as a playable character in Mega Man: Dual Override during the September Nintendo Direct. Proto Man will feature a distinct playstyle from Mega Man, utilizing unique Custom Chips and close combat techniques. The game is slated for a spring 2027 release.
