Austin and Kyoto Have Already Activated — Polygon Labs Says Stale PoS Nodes Must Upgrade Immediately
Polygon Labs has issued an urgent advisory stating that nodes running outdated Polygon Proof-of-Stake (PoS) binaries for Bor or Heimdall have already been deactivated from the canonical chain. The hardforks, named Austin and Kyoto, activated on mainnet at specific block heights, requiring immediate upgrades to avoid further disconnection. Failure to upgrade means nodes must resync after updating to track the accepted network history.
Myria Halts L2 Node Operations, Shifts to Ethereum L1, Sets April 27 Asset Bridging Deadline
Myria is ceasing its Layer 2 node operations to transition to Ethereum Layer 1, announcing the change via Twitter. Node operators must manually bridge their assets from L2 to L1 by April 27, 2026, to avoid permanent loss, as Myria cannot assist with the process. Accrued node emission tokens will be distributed to L1 wallets within three to five business days, amidst a significant decline in MYRIA token value.
