Andor's original pitch reveals the Star Wars show would have seen Cassian working to uncover a mole
A new art book for the Star Wars series Andor has revealed creator Tony Gilroy's original pitch for the show, which differed significantly from the final product. Jared Bush's initial concept involved Cassian Andor being falsely accused of being an Imperial mole within the Rebellion, forcing him to uncover the real mole to clear his name. This espionage-focused plot contrasts with the final series' exploration of political oppression and resistance developed under Gilroy's direction.
