Orbitals is a charming co-op splitscreen platformer with a retro anime-style sci-fi adventure, developed by Shapefarm. Players control Maki and Omura as they scavenge a broken space station to find parts to escape, utilizing unique tools and coordinating ship maintenance and piloting. Despite occasional camera issues and momentum-based puzzle frustrations, the game offers a heartwarming experience with solid voice acting and a forgiving checkpoint system.
Orbitals opening movie released
The opening movie for the co-op adventure game Orbitals has been released. Developed by Studio Massket, the game features a retro anime aesthetic and is designed for two players, either locally or online. Orbitals is set to launch on Nintendo Switch on September 3, 2026.

Orbitals, a retro anime-inspired co-operative adventure game developed by Shapefarm and published by Kepler Interactive, is set to launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3, 2026. The game will feature a standard and a deluxe edition with bonus DLC, and will include localized voiceovers in multiple languages upon release.
Orbitals launches in September
Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Shapefarm announced that the co-op adventure game Orbitals will launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3rd. The game features a retro anime aesthetic and was developed using Unreal Engine 5, with cutscenes created in partnership with Studio Massket.

Shapefarm and Kepler Interactive have released a narrated gameplay walkthrough video for their upcoming 2-player co-operative adventure game, Orbitals. The video showcases asymmetrical gameplay mechanics where one player manages drone power while the other manipulates the environment. Orbitals is set to launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 this summer.
