MagicCon 2027 will expand to four venues: Detroit, Tokyo, Las Vegas, and Amsterdam.

Wizards of the Coast has revealed the 2027 roadmap for Magic: The Gathering, featuring three in-universe sets: Nauctis: The Sunken Realm, Kamigawa: Titanbreach, and Zhalfir. The year will also include three Universes Beyond sets, the return of the Pro Tour Hall of Fame in Minneapolis, and expanded MagicCon events in Detroit, Tokyo, Las Vegas, and Amsterdam.
Magic: The Gathering's Hobbit Is Now Available to Preorder
The Hobbit, a new Universes Beyond set for Magic: The Gathering, is now available for preorder and will release on August 14. This set follows the success of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth and will feature cards faithful to J.R.R. Tolkien's world. Unlike previous expansions, The Hobbit set will not include preconstructed Commander decks.
Magic: The Gathering's Next Set, Secrets of Strixhaven, Is Available to Preorder Now
Wizards of the Coast has announced that Magic: The Gathering's next set, Secrets of Strixhaven, is now available for preorder, with the full release scheduled for April 24. The set returns to the Strixhaven Plane and will feature various product types including Play and Collector booster packs, Commander decks, and a hardcover novel. Preorders are live on retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.
