This theory gained traction due to a gesture Leon makes in Resident Evil 9's ending, interpreted by players as him removing a wedding ring, and Zayne's visual resemblance to both characters. Despite the fan enthusiasm, Love and Deepspace's lore indicates Zayne has living parents who are doctors involved in humanitarian work, making the crossover theory unlikely.
