Hamster has announced that Mr. Do!'s Castle will be the latest addition to the Arcade Archives series, available digitally for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17, 2026. The game, originally released in 1983 by UNIVERSAL, features action gameplay where players use a hammer to defeat unicorns. The Arcade Archives series faithfully reproduces classic arcade games with added features like save files, rewind, and VRR support, with this installment also including a new TIME ATTACK MODE.

Nintendo has released firmware update Version 23.0.0 for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The update adds VRR support for TV mode and Mii Maker music to the Nintendo Switch 2, while the original Switch receives the ability to play virtual game cards using a temporary online license.
