The upcoming D&D interpretation of World of Warcraft sounds great, but don't expect it to work like the MMO does
Wizards of the Coast is releasing a Dungeons & Dragons book based on World of Warcraft on November 17th. The book introduces new playable races, subclasses, and spells inspired by the MMO, but it is designed as a tabletop RPG experience and does not replicate the MMO's mechanics like raids or grinding. Principal designer James Wyatt described it as a "paraphrased" version of WoW, aiming to evoke the game's feel within the D&D framework.
