The Next Minecraft Update Adds Ice Caves, A New Mob, And More
The next Minecraft update, expected in December 2026, will introduce rare underground ice caves with collectible ice crystals and a new hostile mob, the Frozen Zombie. Frozen Zombies can inflict a stacking freezing effect and throw ice balls, adding new combat challenges. Mojang also announced a new Minecraft dimension is planned for 2027.
