MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is a debut effort from Fumi Games that blends a unique rubberhose animation-inspired visual style with a compelling detective noir narrative and fast-paced first-person shooter gameplay. The game features a charming anthropomorphic cast, a gripping mystery set in 1930s America, and a variety of wacky weapons. While some aspects of its structure are simplistic, the game's confident writing, excellent voice acting, and engaging combat make it a worthwhile experience.
