Adolescence of Utena gets North American theatrical release in June — MP3s & NPCs
GKIDS has acquired the North American distribution rights for the anime film Adolescence of Utena, marking its first-ever theatrical release in the region. The film will be shown in theaters on June 21 and 22 in its original Japanese subbed format. Adolescence of Utena, originally released in 1999, is a follow-up to the anime series Revolutionary Girl Utena and is noted for its unique blend of fairytale and surrealist opera.
