ARC Raiders’ ARCs Don’t Learn From Players in Real Time, Says Machine Learning Research Lead
Embark Studios has clarified that the enemies in ARC Raiders, known as ARCs, do not learn from player behavior in real-time. Instead, the studio manually updates the AI's capabilities based on developer insights and popular player clips. Machine learning research lead Martin Singh-Blom explained that improvements are made through under-the-hood updates, such as enhancing enemy vision or indoor navigation, rather than direct player data training.
