A film adaptation of the Battlefield video game franchise is in development, with Mission: Impossible director Christopher McQuarrie attached to direct and write, and Michael B. Jordan attached as a producer. The producers are currently pitching the film to various studios and streamers, with a preference for a theatrical release. This marks another attempt to bring the franchise to live-action, following previous discussions and a failed attempt to secure TV rights a decade ago.
