Blumhouse CEO Jason Blum defended the choice of Icelandic filmmaker Thordur Palsson to direct the upcoming Dead by Daylight movie adaptation, urging fans to have faith. Palsson is known for the Netflix series The Valhalla Murders and the upcoming monster movie The Damned. Blum drew parallels to the success of Five Nights at Freddy's director Emma Tammi, who was also not widely known before helming the hit video game adaptation.
