Crimson Desert review - a beautiful mishmash of gaming nonsense
Crimson Desert is a visually stunning open-world game from Pearl Abyss that suffers from a lack of coherent design and narrative. Despite impressive graphics and competent combat, the game's story is weak, mission structure is incoherent, and it borrows heavily from other titles without matching their quality. While exploration of its vast world can be enjoyable due to its unpredictable nature, issues like a poor inventory system and unbalanced boss fights detract from the overall experience.
