Digg, a website founded in 2004 that was relaunched in January 2025 by original founder Kevin Rose and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, has laid off staff and shut down again. The company cited a failure to find product-market fit and an inability to combat sophisticated AI agents and automated accounts. A small team plans to rebuild the platform with a new approach.
