Don't expect a Witcher 4 expansion: CDPR says "it would be difficult" to make extra content when it's already trying to squeeze 3 Witcher games into 6 years

CD Projekt Red has stated that it is unlikely to develop major expansions for the upcoming Witcher 4 and its sequels, due to ambitious plans to release three games within six years. Studio co-CEO Michał Nowakowski indicated that creating add-ons would be difficult given the tight development schedule, contrasting with the extensive expansions released for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
