Director Michael Sarnoski confirmed that the upcoming Death Stranding movie, currently in script development with A24, will not directly adapt the game's narrative. Instead, it will feature original characters and explore a different part of its world, though some game characters may appear. Sarnoski also mentioned that Alex Garland's Elden Ring movie adaptation is currently filming.
