The MMORPG Eldegarde will permanently cease operations on May 31, 2026, just three and a half months after its February 17, 2026 launch. Developer Stormbreak Studios cited unsustainable server costs and unfixable engine issues as the reasons for the shutdown. The game struggled with daily crashes and performance problems, leading to a high cost per player that the small player base could not support.
