Elder Scrolls co-creator Vijay Lakshman believes that bugs in Bethesda's massive RPGs are an acceptable trade-off for the open-ended, infinitely playable worlds they offer. He explained that the complexity of generating events makes thorough testing difficult, and that the small teams and budgets of the early days contributed to the prevalence of bugs. While The Elder Scrolls VI might be more polished due to Bethesda's growth, a completely bug-free experience is unlikely.
