Epic Lays Off Over 1000 Employees Due to "Downturn in Fortnite Engagement"
Epic Games has laid off over 1000 employees due to a significant downturn in Fortnite engagement and spending, leading the company to spend more than it earns. CEO Tim Sweeney cited industry-wide challenges and specific issues with Fortnite's seasonal content as reasons for the cuts.
