Santa Monica Studio developers have explained the narrative placement of God of War Laufey, a spin-off focusing on Kratos' late wife, Faye. The game's events are set to unfold shortly after Faye's death in the 2018 God of War, with Faye's story potentially running concurrently. The developers also confirmed that more Kratos stories are planned, alongside a remake of the original trilogy and a live-action TV series.
