Gothic Remake Doesn’t Have a Minimap to Stay Immersive Like the Original, Says Director
Alkimia Interactive's game director Reinhard Pollice stated that Gothic Remake will not feature a minimap to maintain immersion, similar to the original game. The studio also opted against adding minigames or extensive character customization to preserve the core experience. The remake will include an expanded, diary-style quest log and enhanced crafting systems, and is set to release on June 5th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
