How Subnautica 2 multiplayer works

Subnautica 2, now in early access, supports up to four players in co-op, allowing friends to explore the alien ocean world together. While players cannot bring existing singleplayer characters or progress into multiplayer sessions, and there's no option to revive fallen teammates, the system allows for world sharing. Players can host new multiplayer games or convert existing singleplayer saves, and can also share saved worlds with friends by uploading them to the cloud.
