It's Happening: Final Fantasy XIV Is Coming To Switch 2 This August
Final Fantasy XIV is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 in August, announced by producer Naoki Yoshida and Square Enix CEO Takashi Kiryu. The MMORPG will launch with a one-month free period for early access, after which a separate subscription will be required specifically for the Switch 2 version, though existing subscribers will receive a 50% discount. This announcement coincides with the reveal of the next major expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold, slated for January 2027.
