A report suggests that NetherRealm Studios, known for Mortal Kombat, is developing Injustice 3, a sequel to their DC Comics fighting game series. An artist's resume reportedly listed the title, and DC Studios CEO James Gunn has previously met with NetherRealm to discuss DC-related games. Injustice 2 was released in 2017.
