Starfield: A Brief Overview of Incursions, And How They Work
Bethesda Game Studios has announced the Free Lanes update and Terran Armada DLC for Starfield, introducing a new story, the Terran Armada faction, and "Incursions" combat events. These events transform existing locations into active combat zones where players can hinder the Terran Armada and salvage new gear like X-Tech. Lead Creative Producer Tim Lamb explained that Incursions can disable grav drives, requiring players to use a new "Cruise" mechanic to approach or avoid them, and can be revisited for high-level challenges.
