Stellaris is finally getting rid of unemployment, but not without some extensive testing first

Paradox Interactive is testing significant changes to Stellaris's job selection system in the upcoming 4.4 'Pegasus' update, aiming to eliminate unemployment and simplify core gameplay loops. Game director Stephen Muray detailed improvements to planet job assignment, including automated workforce limits and a new system where pops immediately fill fallback categories when unemployed. These changes are undergoing an extended open beta before their potential release in update 4.4.
