Hinterland Studio has released the fifth and final episode of The Long Dark's WINTERMUTE story, concluding the episodic narrative. The game is now split into the completed story mode and its survival mode. The developer has also hinted at future content for the series, potentially including a sequel titled BLACKFROST: The Long Dark 2.
