The development team behind Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream spent six to seven years programming the Mii interaction system, describing the process as 'pure chaos' and difficult to manage. Lead programmer Takaomi Ueno explained that they continuously added ideas and rules to balance unintended behaviors, eventually finding a system that players found fun. The game is available on Nintendo Switch.
