Marvel Rivals is implementing a significant update to reduce its install size on PC and consoles. Developer NetEase announced that a texture compression overhaul will shrink the game by 40GB on PC and up to 15GB on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, without compromising graphical quality. Starbreeze Studios and Sidetrack Games are releasing a major engine upgrade for the 13-year-old game Payday 2. This update will port the game to a 64-bit architecture, upgrade to DirectX 11 rendering, and reduce the install size by more than half, improving performance and stability. A public beta for the engine overhaul is scheduled to begin on June 30.
