The Simpsons creator Matt Groening suggested that a return for The Simpsons: Hit & Run is planned, possibly as a remaster. However, current showrunner Matt Selman quickly disputed this, stating "Or not." Groening's comments were made at a D23 panel, and while he seems to be in an emeritus role, Selman, who wrote the original game, has previously expressed openness to the series' return.
