Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that Control Resonant is a direct sequel to Control, taking place seven years later and starring Dylan Faden. While it is a sequel, creative director Mikael Kasurinen emphasizes that it is also an independent product with its own identity. The game will feature an open-ended world set in Manhattan, allowing for exploration beyond the main story.
