Square Enix announced a major collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy VII titled 'Beyond the Lifestream' during the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Berlin. The upcoming expansion, Dawntrail, will feature an eight-player raid series dedicated to Final Fantasy VII characters, with input from key developers of both franchises, including Tetsuya Nomura for character design. Additionally, the Gold Saucer will receive an attraction based on the Final Fantasy VII Gold Saucer and a typing game.
