The story for Witcher 3: Songs of the Past was actually written "years ago", according to Fool's Theory CEO
The Witcher 3 expansion, Songs of the Past, features an original story conceived years ago by CD Projekt Red writers Ola Motyka and Philip Weber. Fool's Theory CEO Jakub Rokosz confirmed that the narrative was put aside and has now been developed further for the upcoming content, which focuses on a deeper character study of Dandelion and his family.
