God of War Laufey director Ariel Lawrence hinted that gods previously killed by Kratos in the original trilogy might return in the upcoming title. The game will explore the 'Everywhen,' a realm for all magic and magical creatures. While Ares' potential return is discussed, new villains like the Mongolian and Egyptian gods of war, Begtse and Sekhmet, were shown in debut footage. The game is set for release on PlayStation 5.
