A new Starcraft game is coming, but not until 2030
Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed a new Starcraft game, an open-world shooter, is in development and slated for a 2030 release. The announcement was made at Blizzcon 2026, with Dan Hay, formerly of Ubisoft, leading the project. This marks a significant shift from the series' traditional real-time strategy roots.
