Star Citizen has surpassed $1 billion in player funding, a milestone achieved partly due to a recent free-to-play event. Cloud Imperium Games is selling a new $5,000 spaceship concept, the Anvil Odin, which is still in development and requires an application to purchase. The game's single-player component, Squadron 42, is theoretically slated for a 2026 release, with the main game aiming for 2028.
