CD Projekt Red is releasing a free remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on September 29, aiming to make it feel like a modern game with significant improvements to animation, gameplay, and quality of life features. Executive producer Jakub Kutrzuba stated the goal is to make the game comparable to titles launching today, with changes so impactful that the team finds it hard to go back to the original version.
